Default average bet size

I've noticed a pettern in the UB 3/6 6max game. Almost all bets (~75%) at this level are for 1/2 to 2/3 of the pot. I have been doing this too (through some insidious form of poker groupthink). But after rereading super/system I think I might start betting at least full pot 75% of the time, and some lesser amount the other 25%. I used to do this as a rule, and in retrospect, I think it's much more effective in that:
1) my opponents will be much less comfortable, which could lead to sloppy agg play or tight passive play
2) I'll build bigger pots when I've got it
3) I'll take down a few more pots uncontested

The only negative I see is the increaded variance.

Has anyone else noticed this betting pattern at 3/6? Is it prevelant at higher levels? Does my proposed ratio make sense to you? IYO, is it +EV?
