Playing a low flush
Villian is 20/5/2.5 over 110 hands, seems pretty standard
1/2 (9 handed) Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks Flop: (5 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 handed) Hero bets, BB calls, Villian raises, CO folds, Button folds, Hero calls, BB calls Turn: (5.5 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 handed) Hero checks, BB checks, Villian checks River: (5.5 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, BB checks, Villian bets, Hero calls, BB folds Final Pot (7.5 BB) After the villian checked the turn it it looked to me that my flush was no good and that my only hope was a seven. When the diamond hit I just decided to check planning on calling a bet. Was I wrong in doing this? Are there other hands that a player like that will raise the flop and check the turn when a blank comes downt? 99, 77, maybe. Comments anyone. |
