Default Sports comentators and bad sports analogies...

Sports analogies in everyday life are bad enough. But using sports analogies for the wrong sport is just ridiculous.

I was listening to the Miami game yesterday on the radio and one of the commentators kept using baseball analogies. Miami "pitched a shut-out" in the second half. Their running back is a "homerun hitter." Someone "really stepped up to thr plate." There was one more that I don't remember.

This was just terrible. I can't imagine this was an accident. I'm was thinking someone must've had a bet with someone on how many times he could do this or something. Has anyone else something like this recently? Am I making too big a deal out of how stupid this is?
