Just because you got your money in as a favorite doesn't mean you played the tournament right. It also doesn't mean your opponent played it wrong. Things like chip stacks and calling ranges matter. Also things like extracting maximum chip amounts on your good hands and stealing chips where possible matter a lot. If you constantly play too tight you'll find you are always getting sucked out on. [/ QUOTE ] well said...If you find yourself constantly having to play 60/40 hands for your entire stack, you might need to start playing more aggressively, or plug leaks in your game. A often its the times you don't get value on your good hands, or blow chips on bad hands that determine the difference between a hand that you miss the flop and fold or the same hand that you are forced to play for all your chips, and bust out of the tournament. |
