Default J. H. Christ, I\'m never telling again

I'm studying abroad now and I played poker over the summer and made a pretty decent living of it at NL3/6 and 5/10. In the beginning of the semester, my roommate and I bought a bunch of things for the room and we didn't really keep a tab of it. He bought me two towels at IKEA, i bought a bunch of food and beer. The food and beer is long since gone.

Two nights ago I played a stupid 30/3 tournament and let him watch me as I explained the strategies of it. He seemed pretty interested in it and it was good fun for all. He left halfway through to go to his girlfriend's and I didn't see him until this morning right before class. He asks me how I did, and I told him i final tabled it. When he asked how much money i made, I told him roughly 2800 dollars. He gets this look in his eyes and just kind of goes "woah." I forget about it and class goes by slowly. I'm walking down the hallway afterwards when I get this tap on my shoulder and he's standing behind me. "so..." he says in this kind of snively voice, "since you're doing so well in poker... i really need those 300 krowns for the towels."

I was speachless for a good fifteen seconds, then said something like "I have to take a [censored]" and split. He's lucky i didn't punch him right in his smug little face. First of all, i want to explain that we never kept a tab on who bought what. Second, 300 krowns are worth roughly 40 dollars. I spent at least that on beer alone. Also, if he honestly spent 40 dollars on two Ikea towels, i'll [censored] a golden egg and eat it.

I AM NEVER TELLING ANYONE ABOUT MY POKER WINNINGS AGAIN.

I'm just going to say sadly that i'm still hovering around even or some bullshit like that. Honest to god, how does he have the complete lack of self respect to beg for money (he's pretty well off) AND think that he somehow has the right to take my money on some bullshit excuse since it was sooo easy to come by. [censored] off [censored]. And this just marks one point in a disturbing trend. Whenever I tell people how well i'm doing in poker, their real selves come out and i get to know who my true friends are. It's just not worth it. I'm never telling again.

He'll get the 40 dollars but he's lost all my respect.
