donk betting

i understand the term "donkey." But what exactly constitutes a donk bet? And why is it different than a value bet? Or a semi-bluff? Or just a stone-cold bluff?

In other words, how does one recognize a donk bet?

And yes, I know that if I'm asking this question, the most likely reply will be, "any bet YOU make."
