Default Re: 88 Final Table hand (Party $30)

[ QUOTE ]

There is a good chance both of your straight odds are good and you may be ahead with your pair. Don't think of the worst possible hand villain can have.

I'm not. I haven't given him a specific hand, I've put him on a range. And his range is way, WAY ahead of my hand (yes even considering he could have a smaller pair... his range crushed mine). If I'm behind I have 8 outs at most, and about 6.5 on average. If I put him all-in I'm getting 1.5-1 on my money and I'm anywhere from 2-1 to 3-1 to outdraw him. This could be made up for when I get him to fold the best hand by pushing but unless I know he's really concerned about moving up a spot I think he'll call with all kinds of [censored] on this flop.

Even if the flop is just slightly different say T97, then i think your suggestion is a good one as i can be fairly certain all my outs are live, and this is a flop he's slightly less likely to have connected with.

I hate checking this flop, and think everyone who said to lead, and fold to a raise was correct.
