Re: What\'s Next? (no hand or boobs in this thread)
[ QUOTE ]
The only problem I'm finding with Stud is that I have no idea what to play. The hands that I think are strong are trips, good 3 flushes, good 3 straights, straight-flush combos maybe a gap or two, pairs with good kickers or high pairs with decent kickers. Those all combined come in like 12% of the time. That's just really, really tight. [/ QUOTE ] Your usually good starting with any 3 suited, or any 3 sequencial cards(some worse than others here). The key words here: "LIVE DRAWS" With smaller pairs it mainly depends on the strength of your kicker in relation to whats out. I haven't played for a while, but I know any pair with a live Ace is playable, and if an ace was folded (almost never happens)or 2 aces or more are out I'll play anything with a K kicker, stuff like that. West's book has some decent advice, I just wouldnt dwell on it. Give it a good once-over then hit 7CSFAP. BTW have you played much Triple Draw? That game is the nut-HIGH sir, and virtually nobody that plays it plays it well. |
