Default Deep stacks and preflop raises

I play 25NL (yes, still. some might remember my post about contemplating a move to the 50 but i'm holding off for now... too much fun) and i often find myself with a stack of 300 BB or more. Does anyone increase the size of their preflop raise when playing with a deep stack? Or is it best to make the same bet regardless of how deep you are (4BB + 1BB/limper for me)? Im asking becasue it seems like it may be possible to make more money by getting opponents to invest more preflop. it would be easier for them to become pot comitted when they call raises/bet into your big hands. you would also make more with every continuation bet that takes down a pot.
maybe something like 8BB + 1BB/limper?
would this require one to play tighter than usual? bad idea altogether?
