Weak-tight AJs hand.
10 handed, 1/2 limit hold'em, Poker Room
Early in session, villains are unknowns. Preflop Hero is in SB and dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 folds, UTG+2 raises, 2 folds, MP3 calls, Hero calls, BB folds. Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP3 calls, hero calls. Is the check call line on the flop standard, or should I take a more aggresive stance early? I don't like betting into a preflop raiser and a preflop cold caller with just middle pair, and I'm not sure if check raising accomplishes much, espeically OOP. So is a check call good here? Turn 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP3 calls, Hero folds?! Obviously this is just terrible. I could have the best hand in a biggish pot, and if not I still probably have odds to justify continuning. So anyway, is the appropriate line in this pot just call down all the way, or is there a better way to play it? Also please flame the turn fold, a thorough flaming should discourage me from doing something like this again. |
