Default Low end of a straight action on river...

This was a live game at a casino in Indiana.

2-5 NL I had stacks ranged from $100-$1500. This was a Sunday afternoon table, one or two good players, mostly recreational players. The table was loose, very loose, family pots occured and 8 folks would frequently put $5 bucks in the pot and we would all limp on in. It was in this environment that the following situation arose.

HERO is the SB and is dealt:
3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] , 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

About 8 players limp HERO completes.

Preflop pot of $40.

FLOP: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

HERO has the bad end of a straight in a field of limpers.
I figure someone will bet into this and I can CR so I check.
3 players check and the VILLAIN bets $10, one player calls and I raise $40.

VILLAIN calls $40 and everyone checks and the pot contains. $150.

The turn is a J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets $100
VILLAIN calls.

At this point I feel my hand is well defined. Everyone SHOULD know that I have one of the three straights or perhaps a set. But No raise preflop and my position might favor the straight.

The river is a 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

HERO ????
I checked, I honestly thought that we would split the pot or I was beat. Opinions ??

Villain
Bets $100
This guy seemed smart enough but not really much of a killer instinct, I did not believe he was bluffing. I did not think that he would bet.

VILLAIN's remaining stack was about $175 I had enough to push him all-in if I thought it was wise.

HERO: ???
