Dealing with Poopoo-heads

"Poopoo-head" isn't my choice of vocabulary, but it seems profanity is scarce here.

All-too-common scenario:

I sit at a table with 4 or so players willing to pay the rest with anything (eg, calling down with K high on a paired board, $2/$4). Along comes some jerk who harangues them viciously, causing them to tighten up and fold more.

Anyone have success in getting jerks to be quiet? I'm sure this question is asked here all the time, so good previous discussions are welcome. I have my theories, but nothing well-proven yet. BTW, this is party poker.
