Default WTH in 3/6 is it with the players?

1st I went through the period of super bluffers...
Next it was super LAGers.

Now a new breed of player is emerging.

The one whos stats look right but they play wrong. What gives?

They play hands in the groupings but not in the right position. Reraise and call down when its almost obvious to fold. The call then if I raise preflop they fold with 4 people already in the pot ?!?!?!

Its like the stats are right VPIP 14-20, PRF 5-14, TAF 1.5-3.5 but they are not good. Half the time there is one stat that is off by a bit. Too much VPIP or PFR, or too little TAF.

Are these new players that just picked up a book and half ass read it? Or watched their friends win at .5/1 1/2 and then decided to give 3/6 a shot?
