Stud/8 Getting back to basics - is this a hand you play?
I am still trying to develop my stud/8 game, and I having been reestablishing the basics to myself (i.e. rereading Zee's book). I ran into this situation recently wasn't sure there was a clear "correct" play.
Site: PartyPoker 10/20 7 Card Stud/8 -- Hand Converter Third Street Seat 1: xx xx 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]_____folds Seat 2: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]_____calls Seat 3: xx xx T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]_____folds Seat 4: xx xx Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]_____folds Seat 6: xx xx 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]_____completes Seat 7: xx xx 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]_____folds Hero: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]_____brings-in_____[??????] Seat 7 was on a relatively short stack, but otherwise I had no read on him. I assume Seat 2 is playing a pair of kings, which means I'm a huge dog for the high end. I'm never excited about a 7 low, particularly when there's no str8 or flush chances, but here another apparent 7 low is raising.... hmmmmmm... thoughts? |
