Technically, he's right - the Democrats don't want a bi-partisan commission. They want an independent commission to investigate because they know how the Republicans in Congress snuff out any minority view.

This represents another insane RW talking point. The thought that the Democrats don't want the truth to come out because they don't want government to investigate itself takes some pretty serious suspension of disbelief to stomach.

I'll pose the question to the Republicans: Why are you so opposed to an independent investigation into the Government's response to the Katrina disaster?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, and I'm pretty sure you do to. I'm also sure that none of you will admit it.
