My opponent is on a bigger flush draw - my line???
Live $6/$12 game. Play along with me. I want some ideas on how I could have taken this pot away from my opponent. I often find myself in such situations.
I post in MP2 and am dealt 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 1 limpers, I check, 1 more limper, SB folds and BB checks Flop is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain bets, I raise, others fold and it's headsup to the turn. I am almost positive that Villain is on a flush draw. He had bet his flush draws on a couple of previous occasions, and I picked up a tell from his reaction to my raise that led me to believe that he has a higher flush draw. Still, the pot is now decent sized and I think it's worth fighting for. Villain is loose and fishy preflop, average postflop. The line that I ultimately took didn't work because he called me down with a King high The final board was 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Blank A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] How could I have manipulated the betting on the turn and river to try to win this pot? |
