The Truth About Omaha 8 Or Better (By Grandgnu)
If you are dealt any of the following hands:
A/2/3/4 A/2/2/3 A/2/3/5 A/2/3/3 You can be certain the flop will contain two to three high cards. If you are dealt: A/A/x/x double suited You can be certain the flop will contain the opposite suits. Or, if you hit the nut flush on the flop, the board WILL pair on the river, and someone with middle cards who hit bottom two pair on the flop will crush you. If you are dealt K/K/Q/10 K/Q/J/J A/Q/Q/J etc. You can be positive the flop will contain three low cards If you raise with A/A/x/x and get four callers and the flop is: 6/K/6 One of those donks has a 6, even when a third 6 hits the river and you figure your hand is good If you are dealt A/A/x/x and the flop is: A/3/9 And the board pairs 9's on the turn, you know someone with 9/9 just sucked you right in If you have 7/7/x/x in the blind and the flop is 7/K/7, that opponent who keeps raising you has pocket Kings, and you know the river will bring him his fourth. In all seriousness, the above likely sounds like tilt, but it is my bland attempt at humour (apologies in advance?) I've actually been doing quite well in the O-8 games, but sometimes it seems like the above can happen to you quite frequently, like the whole world is against ya. :P |
