UTG is a solid aggressive and thinking player. BB is loose but not completely horrible.
20/40 4 handed UTG raises, I cold call on button with QJs, SB folds, BB calls. flop: 4d6sTh BB checks, UTG bets, I call, BB calls. turn: 5c BB checks, UTG bets, I raise, BB folds, UTG calls. river: 6d UTG checks, I bet. - I think UTG bets A high a lot on the turn, maybe other overcards occasionally as well. He also bets any pocket pair. BB could have called with anything on the flop, he's that kind of guy. I think BB is passive enough to have not raised a T or another pair though. So I raise the turn thinking BB is on nothing most of the time and UTG will fold ace-rag, some pocket pairs and occasionally overcards. UTG calls and I miss the river but the somewhat high chance of him still being on ace high makes this an easy river bet. How'd I do? Oh and BB still being in the pot when I made this turn raise is key, it gives my raise a lot more credibility. I am only raising here 10-20% of the time when BB is not in the pot as I think UTG is much more likely to call me down when we're headsup on the turn. |
