Default VEGAS trip report 8/7-8/12

Hands down, this was one of my best vacations ever. My wife and I got married almost a month ago, so this was basically our honeymoon (actually a mini-honeymoon, but that's another story).

We fly out of NY's Laguardia at 2pm. Nothing really eventfull (except a delay and a bump to a slightly later flight) until we get on the connecting flight out of Atlanta. After a drink or two, the wife starts to reach her hand up my shorts leg, reaching for my member. We have the whole row to ourselves, so she actually pulls my junk out of my shorts leg and starts going down on me! I was like, "holy $hit!" This was very unexpected since my wife is a total school nerd. Anyway, it goes without saying that she accomidated my request to retire to the lavetory. OK, trip starting out awesome since I just joined the Mile High Club.

We check-in to the MGM Grand from the airport and cab it over to the hotel. Bang the wife again in the room. We went downstairs and just ran around the hotel for like 2 hours exploring and drinking. The wife started to complain about her tummy hurting, so I put my name on the 3/6 list at the poker room and escorted the wife to the elevator.

The poker room at the MGM Grand is pretty damn nice IMO. Seats are comfy, tables are AWESOME (they have a marble surface around the perimeter) and the players were far from tough. Dealers were pretty good, but some were not great. Guess what? I actually tipped most of them on a few occasions! What I didn't like about the room was the management. For some reason, they feel a need to keep a list going. Other places like to get a new table started when the list grows to 6 or 7, but not here. They seemed to wait until there were like 11 or more people before starting a table even though dealers were just lounging around. Anyway, I played for like 2 hours and change and made $100 so I was very happy.

Next day we did some more exploring. Ate brunch at the Crepe place in Paris (amazing food - good spot for a cheap meal at only $6-$8/crepe). We eventually made our way to Slots-o-Fun, which is next to Circus Circus. Why did we go to such a dive? For the $1 craps and $3 blackjack of course! Had a bunch of drinks and a bunch of fun. Made like $25. I spun the gigantic slot machine out front just for fun and $10 came out. Stopped off this HUGE sex shop nearby and got some goodies. Went back to the hotel, got ready for dinner, at the Japanese place there. I highly recommend it.

After more sex, I put the wife to bed and played some more 3/6 hold'em. This time I could not make anything of my cards and I took several terrible beats. In over 3 hrs. I ended up losing like $25 against total donks.

Woke up early for the morning tourney at Aladdin. I had a total blast - definately a great tourney. This time I busted out fairly early when a player in EP slowplayed AA and I lost after moving in with my AK. Met the wife and ate lunch at the Brasserie in Paris (again, highly recommended - good food good value). Played some $5 blackjack at Boardwalk (whoa, big spender). Found out the wife sux at blackjack - she actually doubled down on 14!!?? Went back to the hotel after having too many drinks to play correctly and we went for a swim. Not sure why we even bothered, a 3 1/2 foot deep pool in the desert during the summer is probably at about a refreshing 92 degrees. Dinner at Wolfgang Puck in the hotel, bangged the wife, played more 3/6 hold'em and lost a little more money.

Played in the Aladdin tourney again the next morning. This time I did fantastic and finished 3rd. Not bad for my 2nd live tourney. It was also pretty damn satisfying to bust the player I busted. He was the husband of the girl who busted me the day before and I used the AA slowplay to bust him. Ate at this italin place in Aladin where you get unlimited mamosas for $5 - pretty good deal.

We ran around the mall in the Aladdin and did some shopping - made the wife real happy. Back at the hotel we previewed a new tv series (fun, fun) and got ready for dinner (of course, more sex). Went to see Mystere at TI - WHOA, F#CKING AMAZING. I can't remember where we ate or what we did after that. Thereofore, it must have been lots of fun.

Played in the Aladdin morning tourney again the next morning. This time I won my buy-in a the 3/6 table before hand. I was pretty much card dead for an hour and I don't think I won a single pot. Got dealt AJ right after the break and called an all-in by another short stack. His 5's held up. Played more 3/6. Pet the baby lions at the MGM - they're so cute and ate lunch at Woldgang Puck. I took the wife to the 2/4 table and found out that she sucks at hold'em more than anyone I've ever seen. Seriously, she ran through like $120 in no time, at 2/4!!! More sex and then off to see Danny Gans at the Mirage. Soooo funny - absolutely increadible. Dinner at Ahh Sin at the Paris (it was late, they were open), which was really enjoyable. Went to O'Sheas and played some $5 blackjack and craps. got tanked on the free drinks and ended up about $20 ahead.

Flew out of McCarren at 7:15 after running to the terminal (we didn't get to the airport till 6:45). What an amazing trip - had a blast...
