Is Stud dead?

I am mainly a Holdem player but have entertained the thought of incorporating Omaha and Stud into my game. I have read a little about PLO and played some online but nothing for Stud.

I have heard some say that Stud is dead and I didn't think that was true. What is everyone's thoughts on this? Should a good Holdem player add Omaha to his quiver before trying stud or vice versa?
