Default Typos and the subconscious

Sometimes when I type, I make a typo that evokes a response in me completely separate from the word, sentence, or thought I am typing.

For example, when I type "example" as "exmaple" or "membrane" as "memrbane" I smile a little. I think they are funny somehow.

On the other hand, when I type "just" as "jsut" I have a negative association with it, and feel some sort of discomfort. Perhaps my brain associates that with "slut".

There are also neutral typos (such as when I type "ratio" as "ration" or "experience"/"experiment") which evoke no response in and of themselves, but just annoy the hell out of me because I do it so much. But likely 99% of all typos fall into this category.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

J
