Default Is there anyway I could have layed this down?? I don\'t think so!

I know theres no way to lay this down but it's really bothering me. $215 Sunday tourney 2 weeks ago its played hand for hand on the bubble. I'm the BB and get dealt KK and I have 17K in chips. Blinds are 600/1200. There is one caller, and the SB folds. The caller has 25K in chips. I raise to 4000 he calls. Flop is K88. The other guy immediately goes all-in. I thought about it for about 1/10 of a second and said if he has 88 then what can i do, and if he has Ax he'll need runner runner aces but I hate bubbling especially w/ this much money on the line. I call. He has AQ. Turn 8 River 8. I'm out! Makes you wonder.
