Is this a good time for a resteal?

This was a situation I was in last night. I'm the chipleader of the Empire 10k guaranteed $25 rebuy tourney. I have been very aggressive with 12 players left and this is shortly into the final table. The CO in this hand has been playing with me for about 2 hours and has been moderately tight, especially around the final table bubble. The reason I decided to resteal here is because I would make 8k and freeroll the all in if he folded. Also I thought he would think 2 things:
1. He would get to see my hand to see if I was bluffing as the SB was already all in.
2. He wouldn't want to risk going out before the all in person who is very short stacked, which would result in the most significant jump in pay yet in the tourney.

So was this a well thought out play or is this a -EV move. I think the villain will fold 99 or lower (maybe TT) and if he calls with AK or AQ i'm still 1/3 to win it.
