Chad Brown: Worst Play Ever
This is referring to the Chad Brown hand in which he was holding K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] against the Asian dudes Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Okay: 1st mistake: Limps UTG with KT 2nd mistake: Calls raise from OUT OF POSITION raiser into a pot with 6 callers 3rd mistake: Privy to the above information, calls on the flop with a pair of 10s. The very WORST I would put my opponent on was A-K there, thus giving him a great chance to hit on the turn. 4th mistake: He calls off another pot-sized bet with a pair of 10s (I think about 30% of his remaining stack) 5th mistake: He not only calls but RAISES (although for only $5,000) his opponent on the river with nothing but a pair of 10s, thus losing 70% of his stack (he started as the chip leader). I don't know if the cameras got to him or something, but this was an absolutely HORRIBLE play. One of the worst T.V. hands I've seen in quite some time. He really can't beat anything there, and even if he puts him on a draw, he has to put him on a hefty draw. For example, if Brown put him on A-K, he had 10 outs going to the river, not counting possible flush outs as well. Of couse I think the Asian dude made an equally bad play raising OOP with QJ s00ted, but Brown's post-flop play was really pitiful. |
