Internet Poker, How to Play and Beat Online Poker Games
As I promised here is a rough review (I did not read it thoroughly):
Just received “Internet Poker (How to Play and Beat Online Poker Games)” By Lou Krieger and Kathleen Keller Watterson. To begin with the title of the book is inaccurate; it does not illustrate how to beat poker at all. It basically is how to play, with chapters like: How to Play Games The Five Most Common Internet Poker Games Where to Play and Where to Learn What an Internet Poker Game is Like Should I Play At One Online Poker Casino Or Several? Your Screen Name Chatting And many, many other basic chapters I have only skimmed through it and am not going to waste my time reading. I did not find a single interesting chapter to read. That is a shame because I really enjoyed all of Lou Krieger’s other books (including Poker for Dummies, my first poker book). This book is even more basic than “Poker for Dummies” and could even be a continuing book (Poker for Dummies II). The disk included with the book also is just general information. This book is perfect for the person that has never seen an online poker room and wishes basic info how to find a site, how to deposit money, etc. However if you have even played a few hands of online poker I feel this book will be of no relevance to you. Hope this saves a few people some money. |
