Spewing with a weak pair
I do this alot when I think I have a decent chance to get heads up with a pair against a preflop raiser on a board that likely missed him. I don't know if I like it, though.
UTG is 40/15 and aggressive postflop. Button and SB are loose passives (55/5 types). Hero is BB with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. PREFLOP: UTG raises, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero calls. FLOP:(4 players) T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero bets................. Obviously the plan is for UTG to raise and drive out the other two monkeys. But I think alot of conditions need to be met for this to be +EV.) 1) UTG has to have overcards 2) UTG has to raise 3) Both monkeys have to fold Even this scenario doesn't seem so wonderful. I will have no choice but to go into call down mode. He will bet the turn and the river when I lose but sometimes check behind on the river when I win. What do you think? Thanks, Cartman |
