Serious Party Rebuy bug...
Maybe there was a thread about this already, but I didn't see it.
Party rebuy tournaments allow you to rebuy anytime your stack is below 1000, *even if you are still in a hand*. So that means, if you have 2K in chips in the SB, and the BB has, say, 750. You can push and immediately rebuy meaning your worst case scenario is that you get called and lose and end up with 2250 in chips, and the vast majority of the time, you get an extra rebuy. Some players are abusing the hell out of this, just pushing and rebuying several times in the first couple rounds and getting themselves up to 3-4K stacks. This is obviously a situation you can exploit (and in fact I kicked myself for auto-mucking ATs when I realized that this is what someone was doing, since I was almost certainly beating them), but I think it is basically really abusive. I sent an email to party complaining about it, and predictably got back a form letter explaining rebuys to me. I responded and got a *different* form letter that seemed to imply that *someone* at least understood the problem, though they did not actually say anything about fixing it. Sorry if this was already covered here, but with the WSOP-forum style running flame wars ( ) stuff is getting pushed out pretty quick... |
