10x BB raise??

Playing in the Aruba $300 on UB. Early- all stacks roughly 2500 except for maybe two (1900/3100). Blinds at 10/20 and I get JJ in MP2. UTG (t2400) makes it 200 to go and I fold. Villian showed to be overly aggressive later on- but not horrible. Was my fold too weak? I don't know what to think of these raises without a solid read. Anyone come over the top? What do you guys make of 10BBs UTG?
