Default Typical Situation

Ok im going to give out the results on this hand because it pertains to my question. The villain here has JJ, in this type of spot it seems like I am burning money playing my 99-TT in this fashion.

What do you think about my line here? Also, what do you think about playing 99 for just set value?

Or, was the best option here to play it as is, but bet less on the turn?
