Default \"Proper\" number of players left at various SNG levels

Is there any way to calculate how many players should be left (on average) at the various levels of a party SNG, if everyone was playing my properly? The idea being that on level 1 you shouldn't lose your stack with anything but AA against KK, or ______ postflop, and those situations only come up x % of the time; while at level 2 you could legitimately lost your stack with _______. I don't know the actual hands that people think you can legitimately lost your stack on at early levels; that would be interesting information also.

Alternatively, is there any source for the actual data for various levels? Besides watching the signup screens for a few hours . . . (assuming that would be statistically significant).
