Default Re: 10-20 hand from today

Huh, I have to disagree here with the crowd who wants to go small here. I dunno about 1250, but I like at least 900 or 1k.

2 reasons to go stronger here:

1. Like Doyle says, fastplay the underfull. If you get fancy and make it 600 and gamblor calls with a J, he has 7 outs, 3 of which are unknown to you. That makes things tougher on the river. If the river comes high, you might be reluctant to get maximum value on the chance that he has filled up- the pot will still be fairly small in comparison to stack sizes.

2. I dunno how the mind games go between you two, but any raise you make here is sending roughly the same message. I think you are only going to get action from a fairly strong hand, regardless of your bet size. A larger bet builds a pot for bigger river action, and it also seems more like a play for the pot on the scare card. I can't imagine making it 600-700 on a bluff here. I dunno how concerned you are about the rest of the field, but I could see them reacting the same way.
