Trapping w/ Middle Set (Good or Bad?)
Been playing for a couple hours. MP1 is aggressive and loose, MP2 is also very loose but leans more toward the calling side unless you give up the lead.
UltimateBet 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) Preflop: Hero is BB with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP1 raises to $4, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB folds Hero calls. Flop: (6.5 SB) K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, Hero calls. Turn: (4.75 BB) 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, Hero raises, MP1 re-raises, MP2 calls, Hero caps, MP1 calls, MP2 calls. River: (16.75 BB) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, MP1 calls, MP2 mucks. MP1 had A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], MP2 probably had the spade draw. I knew MP1 was going to be betting if he had anything. This is why I decided to trap on the flop and C/R the turn. Was it too dangerous to play it this way with the flush draw? I think it ended up being a pretty profitable way to play it. Thoughts anyone? Final Pot: 18.75 BB |
