I figured 2.whatever-1 was enough to commit him, but if he has a mid pair he has to know he's crushed after I push the turn. He's not folding a Q on the turn or river, so it doesn't matter if I let him catch his kicker if he's on Qx. (I'm not folding to a J or K river)

I never min-raise, but I think this is a decent time for it as it completely pot commits him for the river if he calls whether he realizes it or not.
