Big decision in a NL min buyin $5000 game
What do you guys think about how I played my hand. River put in a tough spot just wanted to get some different points of view.
Hero: starts hand with about $4000 Villan: $16000 Blinds are 30-15 PreFlop: UTG I raise it 5BB with 99 I get 4 callers villan is in the SB, 5BBs is a smallish raise in this game because the stacks run so deep these grizzled old timers like to protect there stacks by over betting per flop and on the flop 750$ pot Flop: Board comes AA8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villan in the SB checks I check and all 3 players behind check Turn: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] AA8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I got a full house villan checks to me I bet $400 folds to villan who calls 1550$ pot River brings a Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] making a board of AA 89Q Villan comes out swinging 500$ I raise 1000$ more to 1500$ villan pushs all POT is 5500 price im getting is 5500 to 1950 2.8 to 1 Now i have the task of determining what my opponent has or is most likely to have. Right away my first gut reaction was he has AQ he was trapping me on the flop and turn then got lucky on the river. But I had to look alittle deeper this was not a player that needed the nuts to push in on me, the longer I sat with the problem the more possible hand that he could have kept rolling through my head A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J10 88 but then I went back A9 QQ AQ A8 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] as I saw it these were the only 8 hands that hed play back at me on the river with. 5 beat me 3 didnt QQ wasnt an option at that point becuase this player would have surely reraised me preflop knowing my overly aggressive nature preflop, Yet I still must include it because his flop turn and river action fit perfectly with QQ, so its in my list. With all this info I still had no idea what |
