Default 1-2NL Starting to Become a Very Boring Game...

Not to say it wasn't boring to begin with...but the fact of the matter is that its becoming tough to find good 1-2nl games anywhere in Vegas... Whether the max buy-in is $100, $200, or no cap at all, the games just aren't that good. I managed to visit 4 cardrooms today when I was out, and saw the same thing everywhere I went: all limping preflop (usually 3 or 4 players, tops), leaving a measly $6-8 in the pot. Now I'm starting to figure out why a lot of casinos charge a $5 time fee every half hour instead of raking from the pot...because most of the hands never even get a rake! The only loose 1-2nl game I have ever seen on a consistant basis (5+ visits) was at Foxwoods in CT. Other than that, these games are turning into games with 10 players sitting around waiting for f-ing aces just to raise to $12, $17, or $20+ preflop to pick up those whopping blinds! It seems the only action I have seen lately is when KK goes up against AA preflop, or some monkey slowplays his AA by limping preflop, just for someone else who limped in for $2 catches a set. Anybody else notice this lately in the 1-2nl "illusion of action" that I like to call it? I deal with it 5 nights a week as well, and have noticed the games to be the same way as described above... thoughts?
