Slots, my dirty little secret

The last few trips to the casino I've been wasting some time playing slots, and I have to say, I'm getting in to it. $1 Wheel Of Fortune is my drug of choice. I've hit a couple of small jackpots (1500+2000) and I usually make a good return on my money playing. I don't see slots discussed much here.. Is it as mindless and purely luck based as it seems?
