Talked some more with Gary from MGM last night.

OK, here's the "plan" ...

Saturday June 18th.

6:30pm - people start showing up, you know, the early stragglers and such.

7pm - cocktails in the upstairs party room that overlooks the sports book. We'll have our own waitress for this part.

7:45pm ish - We'll get slightly more formal as we have a Magoo Meeting to cuss and discuss what we want to play, who wants to play it, who's going to kick who in the nuts, etc etc etc [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]. Nametags handed out! Who is going to get "brown trout" nametags for us? I did all the rest of this legwork, I'm too lazy for that part, so someone step up to the plate here!

8pm-8:30pm ish - we should have the games starting by now, chip runner bringing table banks, dealers getting seated, etc etc.

8:30 pm - all the "world class play" goes out the window, and it's super-magoo time! Let the bad beats begin!

8:30:01pm - Towel for crying in, table 18! Ow! My ass! How can you call with that??

Let's review the general guidelines now...

Anyone waiting for "good hands" WILL LOSE THEIR ASS.

The biggest winners will be the magoo-est players!

OK, I have three tables fer sure lined up for us. I think we will need more, but I need to know fer sure. It will be a saturday night, and no doubt very busy, so I want confirmations from those who want a seat, so I can make the arrangements with MGM ahead of time. Of course MGM and myself will do our best for everyone, but getting it all straight in advance will work a hell of a lot better than just a bunch of magoos showing up in a haphazard fashion.

Therefore I want each person who wants a seat to PM me with their confirmation. Please send your 2+2 name (for your nametag) and your real name to me. I also want to know what games and limits you want to play. I will use this list to arrange with MGM as best as possible.

The games are set to start about 8-830, so you need to be there at that time, lest you lose your place. Those who preregister with me will be giving first preference, but those who don't show up will be subject to lose their seat first.

The upstairs party room is fabulous, so get there early for the cocktails!

Whatever I decide the "premier" game is will be the one held in the upstairs game room. That's going to be the game I want to play in! I gotta have some perks for doing all this work! I will try to have the other games in the section of the poker room that is overlooked by the balcony outside the upper room!

The upstairs party room and poker room overlook the sportsbook, so no cell phones upstairs please.

I reserve the right to make any "executive decisions" regarding this event, or to sub-contract such decisions out to MGM management! That includes any decisions on who gets kicked where! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

We have 3 1/2 weeks as of this post to get our acts together. At some point I am going to have to make it "last call" for preregistration, so as to make final confirmations with MGM as to what they are going to provide for us as far as tables and dealers. You have time to decide, but it won't last forever, and it's possible there may be a cut-off point if too many people want in! So get your late bets in early!

That's all I feel like writing on this subject for now, I got the munchies and I'm going to make an egg sandwich and watch some cartoons!
