Default Trying to loosen up on the flop

I'm a huge weak-tight wussy. I'm trying to break out of this pattern though. Here are some hands I played today that I decided to peel one off on the flop. How are these flop calls?

#1. 9-1 with a backdoor flush draw and an overcard. Is it OK to take a card here?

#2 I think I could have raised here, but I don't think it's a fold.
