So we were down to 5 at a 500 buy in limit tourney at a local casino in LA. This was my first tourney for over a 200 buy in, so I was pretty ecstatic to be where i was. Anyhow, we are down to five players, blinds are 1k-2K. Avg stack is about 40 K. The stacks lookes like this:
UTG: 40K fold Hero: 11K As9c raise Button: fold SB: 45K reraise BB: folds Hero: Accidentally cap I don't know if it was late, or Ive been playing poker for 10 hours, final talbe pressure or what, but i accidentally capped preflop. I know the reraiser is extremely tight and most likely had AK, AA, KK, or QQ. Flop came j6c8c. He bets and I fold. How moronic was this really? Was the raise wrong? I mean, i was so short stacked and A9 five handed seemed decent enough. My main question is: Am I right in thinking that my fold was just atrocious, considering the amount of money in the flop? I appologize for the incoherence of this message, as it is my first post. Thanks. |
