Default Why do cardrooms abuse us?

Firstly, thanks for Mason for his post about middle limits being feature tables, etc. I hadn't considered that before.

Secondly, I live in Ontario, where there's probably only like 4 legal cardrooms, and not enough tables to go around (there's nearly always a list). The one in Niagara falls isn't even 24-7! In my opinion, as long as this is the case, and each cardroom has a monopoly on its regional poker players (and a waiting list due to restricted supply), we're going to have a very difficult time improving service to the poker community.

Currently, Party is trying to remove rakeback from all its affiliates. This is a scary move, as it basically just puts more money in their pockets at our expense.

The sad thing is, we continue to play there, regardless...

Is there any way that we can, as a community, stop the abuses? Demand better service at casinos, moving feature tables to the rail, cutting down on the must-must-must-move tables, etc.? Get our friggin rake-back, back?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
