Gt+ vs PV: CPU usage

Hey all,

Im sure this has been touched on before, but I searched and couldnt find quite what I was looking for

I currently use GT+.

I just switched to 8 tables, and have found that Gt+ chugs on my computer (kinda old... like an athlon 1800 or so, with 1GB RAM).

Is PV the same with as many tables, or is it less of a CPU hog?
