Default Ashley Adams\' 7-card stud book

If you are new to poker, get Theory of Poker first.

For beginning concepts on seven card stud, I love Ashley Adams book. Not only does he cover a lot of the aspects you see in T.O.P., he provides a great summary of all the basic concepts and strategies you need to beat the middle limit B&M 7-stud games (but not HiLo).

Adams also provides some plays and concepts that stud players can add to their repertroire. Most you'll find in T.O.P. however. He also throws in some stuff on the mental game, and avoiding tilt and the whatnot.

Once you read this book, start playing stud. When you think you're getting a grasp on it and beating the smaller/mid limits online or in B&M, get Ray Zee's book.

All in all, Ashley Adams book is a must-have for any stud beginner. Solid, solid advice. Must read.

Grade: A
