It seems like the hand posts in this forum are turning into a battle of who can make the greatest fold in a big pot. That's bullshit. It's especially bad for newer players to see this crap.
In shorthanded games you should be going to showdown all the [censored] time. You should be working on extracting bets when likely ahead, and saving bets when likely behind, BUT going to showdown all the time. Too many inconsistencies in shorthanded poker. I submit the following theory: If: 1. The hand is heads up. 2. You have position. 3. You were the final aggressor PF. 4. Your hand is equal or greater than Ace high. Then... you should see a showdown 100% of the time*. *Exceptions: a. Your opponent, regardless of VPIP, has a PFR <5 and an AGG factor <1 and he checkraises you on any street. b. It is correct to make folds sometimes when you are checkraised on the river. |
