Crazy Poker Facts

Hi,
A friend is doing an article for her college magazine and asked me to get some strange facts for a little box at the side of the article. A factfile or something similar. You know the type, it would have the Dictionary definition of poker and then some strange things about it below.

I'll start it off:
The first official World Series of Poker in 1970 had 7 players compared to 2,576 in 2004
