3 hands from a rebuy sat to WSOP
It's a $33 rebuy, 209 players, 1st wins a seat+$1000, 2-7 win $650, 7th win $100. Basically it is a winner takes all.
Hand 1 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (9 handed) converter UTG+1 (t3420) MP1 (t5775) MP2 (t8932) MP3 (t6683) CO (t4305) Button (t5700) SB (t7470) Hero (t11498) UTG (t9929) Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP2 calls t150, 2 folds, Button calls t150, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop: (t600) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks, Button bets t1500, SB folds, Hero folds. I have TP-no-kicker, and button, who is a pretty bad player if I can judge from previous hands, is making yet another overbet at this not so dangarous looking flop, after he limped PF. It's not the first time he's doing it - few times he even pushed his whole stack into tiny pots, and all folded. Does anybody think it's a +EV spot? if so - what is my move if not folding my marginal trash? I'd suspect he has some medium-small pocket pair, or some straight draw. But he MIGHT do it with QJ, who knows. Strange spot. Hand 2 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (9 handed) converter Button (t28975) SB (t17272) BB (t31150) UTG (t32955) UTG+1 (t16272) MP1 (t5921) Hero (t13273) MP3 (t21923) CO (t18928) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero raises to t1500, 1 fold, CO calls t1500, 1 fold, SB calls t1200, 1 fold. CO called PF and on the flops before with some marginal hands, but also showed weakness several times and folded to aggression. He's kind of weak-passive, but not overly loose, and capable of aggression when people check to him. Doesn't look like a very good player, but not a very bad one. My image is tight at this point. Any thoughts about my play on all streets here? Flop: (t4600) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero bets t1800, CO calls t1800, SB folds. Turn: (t8200) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets t9923 (All-In), CO folds, after thinking about it for 40 seconds. Final Pot: t18123 Hand 3 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t1200 (8 handed) converter UTG+1 (t19871) MP1 (t7260) MP2 (t14104) CO (t24869) Button (t20792) Hero (t36796) BB (t24608) UTG (t30650) Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 raises to t4800, 4 folds, Hero calls t4200, 1 fold. This was a tough hand. Villain was rather new to the table, but made the impression of a very tight, very aggressive and decent player. I'm not sure I like how I played it, but I had my reasons. Any thoughts are most welcome. Flop: (t9525) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 bets t14996 (All-In), Hero calls t14996. |
