Re: me vs. a thinking lag
Well here's where I think this particular type of opponent is interesting to play against. I figured if I bet and was called, I could be up against a worse ace, or I could be behind. However I also figured this is a type of board where a thinking lag is more likely than normal to try to bluff at the pot. So I decided to bet, expecting a fold, hoping for a call with a worse ace, and almost anticipating a possible bluff check-raise.
I thought it was interesting that I checked behind on the turn to avoid being check-raised and didn't mind the river check-raise possibility at all. Anyways, that's what happened. I bet, he raised, I called. My hand was good against A8o. |
