Default So you\'re planning on not filing your taxes....

Consider this:

If you file a tax return, the IRS only has 3 years to dispute or audit that return. (The statute of limitations on collecting the money is 10 years)

If you do not file at all, the clock does NOT start ticking, they can go after you 20 years from now.

So if you are a college student without sufficient income to file (when you don't count your poker income), you are setting yourself up for a future nightmare.

Win a big tourny 15 years from now, and the IRS will decide to dig into all those years you didn't file. They went after Richard Hatch (the first Survivor winner) btw after he won his million dollar prize.
