Default To chop or not to chop, that is the question...

Playing in a live tournament last weekend, we got down to heads up, our stacks were basically even (I had roughly one more BB, 58k - 50k), payouts were $1330 for 1st, $660 for second. Opponent asks me if I wanted to chop, I agreed even though I was playing good and thought my chance of winning were pretty good.

My reasoning was that at the time the blinds were 4k-8k, getting ready to double after another 3 hands maybe, which would make it basically an all-in fest.

Would you chop here or am I just a big wussy?
