Default When a steal goes wrong

So, some general questions...

It is correct to steal with any 2 just before the money, when you have a big stack and others have tightened way up. Let's say you bet 3XBB as a standard raise, so there's no telling if you have a hand or no.

Smallish stack re-raises all in.

This is just a pot-odds calculation as to whether you call?
Call with anything if you're getting 4:1 or better on the additional money?
Do meta-game considerations come into play that would justify calling with somewhat less than "correct" odds?

Regards,

Gar
