Good play or lucky?

Was playing 1/2 NL at the "Woods" yesterday and was involved in a hand with this loose player. I was in the CO and he was the BB. I held pocket 3's and called the $2. BB raised to $10 and I called. K,5,8 monotone flop comes out and he goes all in for about $30 and I called believing he had nothing. We turn over our hands and he had 10Jo and didn't catch giving me the pot. Looking back on the play even though I won the hand I am not sure if it is the right move for me to call with the 3's even when I believe if I was ahead. Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks
